Job Title: Patient Flow & Clinical Support Specialist
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Overview
A well-established, busy medical practice in Malibu is seeking a caring, detail-oriented team member to support both front desk operations and clinical workflow. This is a highly active role that combines patient interaction with hands-on administrative and chart management responsibilities.
This is not a sit-down front desk position. You’ll be moving throughout the day supporting patient flow, assisting with intake, and managing a high volume of paper charts and documentation.

Schedule & Workflow
- Monday – Thursday: Business hours (32–36 hours/week)
- Friday – Sunday: OFF
- Patient-facing days: Tuesday & Wednesday (high interaction, patient flow, back office support)
- Administrative days: Monday & Thursday (scheduling, chart prep, documentation, and follow-up work)
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in person and over the phone with professionalism and care
- Check patients in and out, collect payments
- Walk patients to exam rooms and assist with overall patient flow
- Schedule office and telehealth appointments
- Answer multiple phone lines, triage calls, and route messages appropriately
- Verify insurance (billing knowledge is a plus)
- Pull, organize, and maintain paper charts (high volume)
- File labs, imaging, and reports accurately into patient charts
- Recognize and distribute lab and imaging results to appropriate staff and patients
- Manage incoming emails and send timely correspondence
- Prepare charts ahead of appointments and maintain organization throughout the day
- Support providers and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Build rapport with patients and provide a high level of customer service

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical front desk or healthcare setting
- Experience in a patient-facing role requiring both care and efficiency
- Insurance verification and billing knowledge is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Clean background and ability to pass a drug test
