Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant of Human Resources will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the Human Resource Office. This individual will pose a positive attitude, understand the needs of a Human Resources Office, be extremely detail oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills, support the HR department duties, and be able to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Establishes and maintains employee records following guidelines for record retention policies - organized (soft and hard copies)
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Must be a team leader and work with all levels of employees
- · Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
- · Receives and distributes office mail.
- · Prepare daily packages to be mailed out
- · Orders and distributes office and store supplies for all 3 stores
- · Keep updated records of office expenses
- · Order, assign and keep stock of uniforms
- · Assist in HR projects, meetings, trainings, and new hire orientation
- · Assist with New Hire Orientations by preparing packages, tool kits and other items as needed
- · Assist with preparation of Human Resources reports, such as attendance, census, authorized drivers, birthday and anniversary reports
· Provides clerical support to the HR Department
- · Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independent
- · Proofreads and types documents and correspondence produced by department.
- · May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
- · Prepares purchase orders for human resource office.
- · Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- · Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- · Ability to operate general office equipment.
- · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
Physical Requirements:
- · Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- · Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
