We are looking for a CAT Scan Tech./X-Ray tech. to join our fast-paced Urgent Care. In this role you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This energetic and detail-oriented position involves operating advanced radiologic imaging equipment, including CT scanners and x-ray equipment, to produce precise images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Responsibilities
- Operate CT (Computed Tomography) scanners and other radiologic imaging equipment with precision, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
- Triage.
- Answer phones.
- Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging procedures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment operation logs in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluation and optimal patient outcomes.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of medical imaging equipment including X-ray machines and CT machines.
- Experience working in urgent care settings or emergency rooms.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols effectively.
- Skilled in patient care techniques with a focus on comfort, communication, and aseptic technique during invasive procedures or interventions
