About the Position
We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services in a busy oral and maxillofacial surgery practice serving patients in Elizabeth City and/or Nags Head, North Carolina.
This is a part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule. Hours and days will vary depending on the location and surgical schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for oral and maxillofacial surgery patients
- Perform pre-operative anesthesia assessments
- Develop and administer appropriate anesthesia plans
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery
- Manage the airway and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Provide post-operative anesthesia care and appropriate discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and complete anesthesia documentation
- Work collaboratively with the oral surgeon and clinical team
- Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and quality of care
Qualifications
CRNA candidates:
- Current CRNA certification and licensure in North Carolina
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience providing anesthesia in an outpatient surgical or dental/oral surgery setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Anesthesiologist candidates:
- MD or DO with current North Carolina medical licensure
- Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience with outpatient surgery and/or oral and maxillofacial anesthesia preferred
