Your day starts at our yard in Beloit, WI with an empty flatbed trailer and pick up your load in the either Chicago or Gary, IN area. For the Gary loads, you will be taking the no toll way (39 to 80) there and back. All loads must be tarped. Then head back to our yard in Beloit, WI.
Normally your day starts around 6am and is a 8-10 hour shift per day.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a semi-truck with a 53ft flatbed trailer
- Transport various types of freight to designated locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
-Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in route driving or similar roles
- Knowledge of flatbed operations and securement techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Note: This position requires local daily driving, so candidates must be able to commute to the job location on a regular basis.
