We are seeking qualified NCLEX and HESI Instructors/Tutors to lead small, focused bootcamp cohorts in a supportive, high-impact learning environment.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable NCLEX & HESI Bootcamp Instructor / Tutor on a contract basis to support nursing students in their exam preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching skills, expertise in adult education, and experience with curriculum development. This role involves delivering engaging instruction, developing effective lesson plans, and utilizing learning technology to enhance student success. Candidates should have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive bootcamp sessions focused on NCLEX and HESI exam preparation.
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to adult learners with diverse backgrounds.
- Utilize various learning technologies and instructional tools to facilitate effective teaching.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide individualized tutoring support to students needing extra assistance.
- Manage classroom environments to foster active participation, motivation, and a positive learning experience.
- Create and update curriculum materials that align with current exam standards and best practices.
- Incorporate classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and ensure an effective learning atmosphere.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, feedback, and progress reports.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and student achievements.
Experience
- Experience in NCLEX, HESI, or related nursing exam preparation courses.
- Experience with curriculum development tailored for nursing students or healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills in both traditional and virtual settings.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Prior experience working with diverse student populations, including those requiring special education accommodations.
- Strong writing skills for creating instructional materials, assessments, and reports. Classes are intentionally small (maximum 12 students) to ensure individualized attention and measurable outcomes.
Instruction Schedules & Compensation
- Cohort Length: 4 weeks
- Schedule:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
- 4 hours per day
- Compensation: Flat Rate – $2,100 per cohort
HESI Bootcamp Instructor
- Cohort Length: 4 weeks
- Schedule:
- Mondays & Wednesdays
- Compensation: Flat Rate – $1,300 per cohort
Candidates may apply for NCLEX, HESI, or both
Qualifications
Required:
- Active RN license
- BSN required (MSN, NP, or higher welcome)
- Prior NCLEX and/or HESI tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong understanding of current exam formats and testing strategies
- Excellent communication and classroom facilitation skills
Preferred:
- Nurse Educator, MSN, NP, or clinical teaching experience
- Prior bootcamp or accelerated cohort teaching experience
- Passion for mentorship and student achievement
