Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
• Perform chairside assisting duties such as preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing dental instruments, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards.
• Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support patient management by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing post-treatment instructions with clarity and empathy.
• Maintain clinical cleanliness by following infection control procedures including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures in compliance with healthcare infection prevention standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry practices and clinical procedures.
• Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix for managing medical records and patient information.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Skilled in dental instrument processing, dental sterilization procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff.
• Familiarity with advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners and digital imaging tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment such as four-handed dentistry setups.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced dental clinic setting.

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
