Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere that encourages trust and comfort
- Schedule appointments efficiently using Dentrix Ascend
- Verify patient insurance coverage and update health information while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality policies
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation review
- Handle phone communications with professionalism, providing clear information about services, appointment times, and billing inquiries
- Collect payments, process insurance payments and assist with billing procedures using dental insurance knowledge
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with health information management standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong front desk or receptionist skills
- clinic experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dental billing, insurance processing, and Medicare guidelines
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and office management software
- Strong customer service orientation with exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Prior dental clinic experience is highly desirable but not mandatory
