Medical Billing & AR Recovery Specialist (Sleep Medicine Expert)

Location: Dr. Bradley Smith & The Dream Sleep Center | Pueblo, CO

Compensation: $17.00 – $25.00/hour  Aggressive Performance Tiered Bonus Structure

Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire (Performance-Based)

The Challenge

Dream Sleep Center is seeking two elite Medical Billing & Collections Specialists who are tired of the "status quo." We don't just want data entry clerks; we want AR hunters who understand the nuances of Sleep Medicine and DME.

You will have 90 days to overhaul our aging buckets and streamline our DME resupply billing. If you hit your benchmarks, you won't just have a job—you’ll have a long-term career with a compensation plan that rewards your direct impact on our bottom line.

The High-Value Responsibilities

  • AR Restoration: Aggressively attack outstanding claims and patient balances to reduce Days in AR.
  • Sleep Study Specialist: Expertly navigate coding and reimbursement for in-lab and home sleep studies (HST).
  • DME Program Management: Manage the end-to-end billing cycle for CPAP/BiPAP rentals, compliance-based billing, and high-volume resupply programs.
  • Denial Defense: Identify patterns in denials and implement immediate corrective actions to ensure "clean claim" submissions.
  • Independence: Work with minimal supervision to meet weekly collection targets.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum 2 years of heavy experience in Medical Coding, Billing, and Collections (Sleep Medicine experience is a major plus).
  • Mastery of eCW (eClinicalWorks): You must be able to hit the ground running on day one.
  • DME Expertise: Deep understanding of DME documentation, rentals, and resupply cycles.
  • The "Hunter" Mentality: You are self-driven, punctual, and motivated by performance-based incentives.
  • Certification: Certified Biller/Coder (CBCS/CPC) or equivalent professional experience.

The 90-Day "Proving Ground"

This role starts as a contract position. At the end of 90 days, we will evaluate your performance based on clear, data-driven benchmarks (Collection rates, AR reduction, and error rates). Success leads to a permanent full-time position with advanced benefits and continued performance incentives.

A Note on "Performance Pay" (Incentive Ideas)

 For example:

  • Tier 1: Bonus for reducing AR over 90 days by $X amount.
  • Tier 2: Percentage of "recovered" old debt (90 days) that was previously written off.
  • Tier 3: Clean claim rate bonus (maintaining >95% first-pass acceptance).
