What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Coordinator/Optometric Assistant position at Dr. Bloch?
Full time position available for well qualified and personable person to help with billing in private Optometry office. Employment will begin as an assistant position and will gradually become a lead position.
Applicant needs to have strong math skills, be detailed oriented, have excellent computer data entry skills, and good communication skills. Job requires recording patient payments, balancing patient ledgers, billing insurance claims, sending statements to patients, communicating with insurance carriers and patients, management of invoices from industry vendors, managing optical inventory, and tracking sales of optical merchandise. Additional duties include assisting other staff with front office tasks and the doctor as needed.
Previous experience or education in medical billing and customer service a preferred, industry specific coaching and development will be provided. Please send resume for consideration.
