Education and Experience:
- Medical practice experience (2 years preferred)
- Experience managing a team
- Computer literacy
- Experience with NextGen H.I.S., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus
- Focus on patient care and experience
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organization with attention to detail
- Punctual and professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Practice Management: Execute and monitor interview/onboarding/training processes, provide leadership and guidance, monitor team morale, communicate departmental activities, establish a high-performance team, monitor employee payroll, and work closely with practice doctors and upper-level management.
- Financial Responsibility: Monitor posting of charges, payments, and adjustments, process patient/insurance collections, prepare daily deposits, issue refunds, and reconcile fee sheets.
- Insurance Administration: Maximize electronic claim submissions, prepare secondary insurance submissions, understand accounts receivables, and position the practice for a discounted fee-for-service and potential capitation insurance environment.
- Compliance: Ensure HIPAA and OSHA protocols are correctly executed, and risk management procedures are understood by all staff members.
- Management: Open/close the practice as needed, fill in other roles of front office employees, ensure patient experience excellence, monitor practice doctor appointment rates, and handle other responsibilities as needed.
