Doctors of Physical Therapy Onsite is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to partner with a leading American manufacturer in a state-of-the-art industrial setting. Focus is on patient care, injury prevention, coaching employees, ergonomic assessments. DPT has helped keep thousands of workers safe from injury by providing innovative solutions in the field of environmental health and safety. We offer thorough onboarding, training, and mentorship.
- No productivity requirements
- Monday-Friday schedule
- Injury management, screening, and prevention performed in an industrial setting
- A member of a nationwide successful team of industrial therapists
Responsibilities
- Work hand in hand with your OT Supervisor to implement treatment plans and goals
- Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based therapy care
- Provide early intervention assessment and care
- Coach employees on optimal body mechanics and work postures
- Identify and assess ergonomic areas of concern and recommend solutions to lower risk
- Consult with safety team, plant management, production supervisors, and other stakeholders
- Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Develop short and long-term goals for patients
- Provide comprehensive therapy treatment to improve patient well-being and return to optimized functionality.
- Consistently report patient progress to referring physicians and other professionals involved in the ongoing treatment of the patient.
- Create and document home exercise plans for patients to improve benefits of occupational therapy.
- Plan and execute discharge of patient
