About the Role
Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking a PRN Certified Hand Therapist (OT)—or an Occupational Therapist with strong hand therapy experience—to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care across our outpatient clinics in the Woodridge area.
In this role, you’ll work with a collaborative care team to help patients regain mobility, improve function, and return to the activities they love—using evidence-based, innovative treatment approaches.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate patients and identify individualized goals and treatment needs
- Develop and implement personalized care plans using a variety of therapy techniques
- Deliver effective, evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Provide alternatives to medication and surgery through hands-on therapy and rehabilitation
- Design wellness and fitness programs tailored to each patient
- Motivate and guide patients throughout their recovery journey
- Promote long-term health through improved flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate outcomes clearly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care services
What You Bring
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, or strong hand therapy experience as an OT
- Passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
