Currently, DPRA is searching for a Network Engineer in our Knoxville, Tennessee office location. This full-time position will design and build computing platforms, applications and networks operating in a hybrid environment both on premise and in the cloud.
Essential Job Duties and Functions:
- Researches technical components of system architecture for on premise environments and Cloud services/tenants
- Maintains compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies governing information assurance
- Monitors, maintains and installs Third Party software and Operating System security updates
- Monitors, maintains and ensure complete information and data backup of all test and development environments
- Engages with Security Engineers to ensure vulnerabilities are mitigated
- Deploys major and minor releases and hotfixes of company developed software to all test and development environments
- Develops and maintains documentation of all test and development environments to include build and configuration documents for servers within the environments
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Minimum of two years' of experience in performing the job functions
- DoD Secret Clearance, and ability to obtain U.S. government Top Secret Clearance
- Ability to support and manage Active Directory 2012 R2 and newer and Azure AD
- Ability to Design, deploy, manage and support Azure and AWS solutions and services
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Exchange or Hosted Exchange
- Demonstrated knowledge of O365 Administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of Routers, Firewalls and L2Managed switchtes
- Demonstrated knowledge of VMware (vCenter, ESXi, Horizon View)
- Demonstrated knowledge of supporting Windows operation systems (Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and Windows 10 & 11 desktops)
- Demonstrated knowledge of backup solutions such as Backup Exec and Veeam
- Basic understanding of Windows PowerShell
- Basic understanding of Terminal Servers, MS RDS Deployments
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification Required
