Job Summary
Learns and performs entry-level tasks related to miscellaneous metals fabrication and welding under close supervision. Develops foundational skills in welding, safety, and material handling while supporting crew operations on job sites and in fabrication areas.
Key Responsibilities
Assists in preparation, layout, and fit-up of metal components for welding and installation.
Performs basic welding and cutting operations under direct supervision.
Follows safety protocols and maintains clean, organized work areas.
Supports material movement, staging, and tool setup for assigned crews.
Participates in training and on-the-job learning to build proficiency in trade practices.
Inspects tools and equipment for safe operation and reports maintenance needs.
Works cooperatively with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience
0–2 years of experience in welding or a related trade required.
Certifications And Licenses
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 10 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.
Anticipated Starting Pay Range
$24.00- $28.00
