Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and vans.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Handle heavy lifting as required when loading or unloading items.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred, particularly with box trucks or vans.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Strong ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Valid commercial driving license (if required) is preferred but not mandatory for all positions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining delivery records.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
