Looking for applicants with cosmetology license/temporary license or currently in cosmetology school.
Responsibilities
- Shampooing, conditioning, and rinsing clients’ hair
- Helping prep clients for services (sectioning, detangling, etc.)
- Assisting stylists during color, cuts, and treatments (foils, mixing, applying under supervision)
- Cleaning and sanitizing tools, stations, and salon areas
- Sweeping hair and keeping the salon tidy between clients
- Setting up stations (bowls, brushes, clips, towels, etc.)
- Helping manage client flow (bringing clients to chairs, assisting turnover)
- Greeting clients and offering basic hospitality (water, coffee, etc.)
- Answering phones or helping with bookings (in some salons)
- Observing stylists and learning techniques for training purposes
- Neat and professional appearance
Skills
- Strong communication and ability to follow instructions
- Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail (especially with sectioning, mixing, and cleanliness)
