Join Team DPAC as a Ticket Taker, where you’ll be the first to greet our guests, verify event tickets, and provide excellent customer service during our exciting performances. Whether it’s a sold-out concert or comedy show or a blockbuster Broadway Production, you’ll be one of our unsung heroes working to ensure everyone has a positive and enjoyable guest experience. As a Ticket Taker, you’ll also be the smiling face to our guests, ready to answer questions and lend a helping hand.

What you’ll do:
- Customer Service Approach: Provide excellent customer service with a warm and welcoming smile as guests enter the venue.
- Scanning Tickets: Use handheld ticket scanners to scan both printed and mobile tickets at designated entrances, ensuring accurate and efficient guest entry into the venue.
- Troubleshooting: Provide basic troubleshooting for ticket scanning issues, assist guests whose tickets do not scan properly, and direct them to Box Office staff or venue leadership when additional support is needed.
- Guidance and Assistance: Provide directional assistance and guidance to guests as needed outside and inside the venue.
- Crowd Control: Monitor front-of-house ingress and remain aware of your surroundings to assist with crowd control as needed.
- Entry Lobby Area Observation: Redeploy inside lobby to serve additional support for guest needs.
- Safety: Monitor lobbies and seating area to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform duties outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Possess effective vision and communication skills through speech and listening.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout a shift.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments including heights, darkened corridors, loud noise, flashing lights, and haze effects.
Additional Requirements:
- This position is part-time and shifts primarily occur on evenings and weekends, based on the event schedule.
- Available for flexible hours year-round, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school Diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation to Durham, NC.
- Access to a mobile device such as tablet, personal computer, smartphone for scheduling.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
