Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our fleet, including trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on heavy trucks, including tractor-trailers and diesel engines, utilizing schematics and electronic diagnostic tools.
• Repair and maintain mechanical systems such as suspensions, hydraulics, brakes, shocks & struts, and air brake systems to ensure safety compliance and operational efficiency.
• Conduct fabrication work and welding repairs on heavy equipment components to restore structural integrity.
• Service and repair industrial equipment like cranes, hyrails, forklifts, using power tools and hand tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems within vehicles and equipment, including automotive electrical system repair and automotive diagnostics.
• Perform tire service, wheel alignments, suspension adjustments, and HVAC repairs on various machinery.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or in a dealership setting with hands-on repair expertise.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
• Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance apparatus.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures for trucks, trailers, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to support truck drivers and fleet operators effectively.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
