Overview
Doyon Management Services, LLC(DMS) provides Design-Build and General Construction Services on demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil projects at government-owned facilities and military installations. We work with government clients to meet agency goals and deliver high quality construction projects in the safest manner possible.
The Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) will provide technical expertise and oversight on environmental projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including ADEC standards. The QEP will be responsible for site characterization, contaminated site investigation, remediation oversight, and documentation. The role requires both technical proficiency and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct environmental site assessments, investigations, and remediation activities under ADEC regulations (18 AAC 75.333)
Prepare and submit technical reports, including project scope, roles and responsibilities, and timelines
Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations, including:
40 CFR Protection of Environment
29 CFR 1910 Occupational Safety and Health Standards
49 CFR 100-199 Hazardous Materials Transportation, Handling, and Storage Regulations
Supervise or coordinate work performed by environmental staff or subcontractors
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to implement practical environmental solutions
Maintain accurate project records and documentation for regulatory review and proposal submission
Support proposal efforts with detailed project histories, demonstrating successful environmental project experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications (Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience requirements):
- Four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in environmental science or a related field, plus 1 year of professional experience in contaminated site characterization and cleanup under the supervision of a QEP
- Four-year degree in any field or two-year associate degree in environmental science or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience in contaminated site characterization and cleanup under the supervision of a QEP
- Certified environmental technician under an apprenticeship program registered under 29 C.F.R. Part 29, plus 3 years of professional experience in contaminated site characterization and cleanup under the supervision of a QEP
Required Certifications:
- 40 CFR Protection of Environment
- 29 CFR 1910 Occupational Safety and Health Standards
- 49 CFR 100-199 Hazardous Materials Transportation, Handling, and Storage Regulations
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of the work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, involving interaction with individuals of diverse functions, personalities, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: An individual will be required to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and repeat motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects is required. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small defects or small parts, operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$145,000.00 per year. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location. Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, vision, dental, flexible spending, employee assistance program, group and voluntary life and disability insurance and 401(k) retirement plan. Paid Time Off, 10 paid holidays, 5 bereavement and 10 jury duty paid leave.
