Job Description:
- PURPOSE OF JOB:
Assist staff technologists in all areas and radiologists with daily operations in the Radiology Department
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Transport patients and visitors as assigned by the Radiology staff to/from procedure rooms. Assists the technologists in the safe positioning and transfer of patients on/off imaging tables.
2. Display excellent customer service skills with patients, visitors, and staff. Answer the telephone and communicate inquiries to the technologists.
3. Assist technologists in obtaining all required documentation such as labs, screening forms and patient history. Assist with the uploading of images and transmittal of images to PAC's, Life Image or outside facilities as requested.
4. Maintain supply levels and storage. Clean room/equipment as appropriate. Alert staff or manager of any supplies that need to be ordered or equipment that needs maintenance.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School graduate/diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Previous patient care / transport experience
- Other Skills: Good communication skills, comfort in using computer, and cell phones. Ability to work with all age groups. Must be able to ride in elevators, manage stairs, walk long distances and operate Transport equipment
