We're looking for a dependable, motivated Service Technician Apprentice to join our Commercial Service Department. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced electrical service technicians, and develop valuable skills while building a long-term career in the electrical industry.

You don't need years of electrical experience to get started. You need a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to doing the job safely and correctly.

What You'll Do

As a Service Technician Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced technicians to learn how commercial electrical systems operate and how to safely maintain, troubleshoot, and repair them.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist experienced service technicians with electrical maintenance, repairs, and service work in commercial facilities.
• Learn to troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, controls, and equipment.
• Assist with installing conduit, pulling wire, mounting electrical devices, and replacing components.
• Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and service documentation.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment under appropriate supervision.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Assist with documenting work performed, materials used, and service activities.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and fellow employees.
• Participate in hands-on training, classroom instruction, and apprenticeship development opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning electrical systems.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Availability to work full-time, with schedules varying based on service needs.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working from ladders or lifts, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to satisfy applicable pre-employment screening requirements.

Preferred, But Not Required

• Previous electrical or construction experience.
• Current registration as an electrical apprentice or willingness to enroll in an apprenticeship program.
• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain it.
