Bartender / Front Desk Associate
Padel Plant & Smokestack Pizza
Richmond, VA
Padel Plant and Smokestack Pizza are looking for an experienced, dependable bartender to join our team. Our concept is unique — a high-energy padel club paired with a full-service bar and restaurant — and we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-role environment.
This position goes beyond bartending. You’ll also serve as a front-facing team member for our club, helping guests get checked in, set up with equipment, and ready to play.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beer (draft & packaged), wine, and specialty cocktails
- Provide excellent customer service at both the bar and front desk
- Check in players for court reservations and assist with equipment rentals
- Handle POS transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and service areas
- Assist with café/barista service when needed
- Close down the facility at the end of the night (including cash handling and cleaning duties)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years bartending experience
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine
- Comfortable working independently and managing closing shifts
- Reliable and punctual — closing responsibility is critical
- Ability to multitask between bar service and front desk operations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Barista or café experience is a plus
Availability
- Must be available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
- Open availability is strongly preferred
Compensation
- Starting at $16.50/hour tips
