Grocery Clerk (Part-time or Full-Time) Help Wanted

We've a FT or PT position available in our grocery store for grocery clerk, customer service at our registers and in those visiting in the store, and to daily stock and organize our inventory!

We're a unique type of food business that's located in a beautifully rebuilt historic building on Wausau's "Main Street." Our grocery store is also located in one of the most beautiful workplaces in the city, it's a two-story space with lots of windows! PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT
We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and responsible team-player to work in our Market for FT or PT Employment. We have a long-term home for you at Downtown Grocery where you can grow with us and grow your responsibilities!

--- Weekdays 4-10 hrs, as early as 8:15 am, as late as 6:15 pm
--- Saturday 5-10 hrs, as early as 8:15 am, as late as 6:15 pm
--- Sunday 6.75 hrs, as early as 9:30 am, as late as 4:15 pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
--- Assist customers with questions; run cash registers with accuracy and efficiency.
--- Perform receiving/stocking tasks; ensure proper levels in each department.
--- Ability to display merchandise appropriately, neatly, in an orderly manner.
--- Re-stock, front, face, and rotate of all products.
--- Keep shelves fully stocked and cleaned.
--- Prioritize tasks, manage time appropriately, complete tasks by shifts end.
--- Demonstrate an ability to understand and learn about the product selection.
--- Answer telephone calls and use excellent phone etiquette.
--- Follow applicable health sanitation procedures, adhere to safe work practices.
--- Complete special projects and perform other functions.
--- Be a team player, ask questions, be positive, and support your fellow employees!

We are looking for a team-player that likes to work in a fast-paced environment while completing tasks per time-sensitive schedules. Applicants should be flexible, accurate, and speedy with the ability to work independently and to work in a team. The position requires a high school diploma, and a college degree or diploma is preferred.

PAY AND BENEFITS
We're a performance-based organization and increase compensation for those demonstrating an ability to understand our team, business, and customers. Pay is based on experience and an ability to contribute to the team. For FT employment, we offer one-week of vacation (five days of paid-time off {PTO}), and we offer six days of paid holidays after two years of service.

WHAT IS DOWNTOWN GROCERY?
Downtown Grocery is a community-focused grocery store featuring an everyday farmers market and prepared foods "made in our kitchen." We organize Downtown Grocery into two major departments, a Market and a Kitchen. In our Kitchen, we specialize in made-from-scratch foods including soups, entree's, sides, appetizers, sauces, salads, dressings, croutons, and bakery. In our Market, we feature produce, dairy, meats, frozen, bulk, beer, wine, and wellness.
