What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server - Freedom Beat position at Downtown Grand Las Vegas?
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing guests with a positive experience and maintaining Downtown Grand's brand standards as set by the Restaurant Manager.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Maintain and promote hospitality at all times
- Welcome guests efficiently and courteously
- Receive food and beverage orders from guests accurately and efficiently.
- Assist guests with their selections by making suggestions.
- Have and maintain knowledge of all menu items including specials.
- Accurately enter items into POS system
- Work in conjunction with the bussers, bartenders, host staff and kitchen.
- Completes side work as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen; preferably in a hospitality environment.
- Experience working in a fast paced setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to understand and take direction.
- Ability to obtain a Southern Nevada Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be able to multi task
- Ability to use a multi-line phone and speak articulately
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke.
- Follow all safety procedures as established by the company.
