Staff Pharmacist – Independent Community Pharmacy | Mt. Pleasant, MI

We are currently looking for a dedicated and driven Pharmacist to join our Mt. Pleasant location. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to our day-to-day operations, ensuring safe and effective medication use while delivering outstanding service. Schedule:
4 shifts per week, each 10 hours
Monday through Friday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
What You’ll Do
- Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions in accordance with all applicable laws and standards
- Evaluate prescriptions for accuracy, proper dosing, and potential drug interactions
- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medications and health management
- Work alongside physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and documentation of all medications, including controlled substances
- Supervise and support pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering to maintain appropriate stock while reducing waste
- Stay informed on current pharmacy practices, regulations, and emerging therapies
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts, including identifying and preventing medication errors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and local healthcare partners
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program
- Current Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
- Retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage workflow and multitask in a busy setting
- Comfortable using pharmacy systems and technology
- Commitment to patient privacy and ethical practice
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team
