Job Title: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – 1099 Contractor

Compensation: Expected: $80,000 - $130,000 depending on caseload, hours worked, insurance panels accepted.

About Downtown Counseling
Downtown Counseling is a growing mental health private practice in Mississippi committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a professional yet personable environment. We are expanding and looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team as an independent contractor.
We offer a clinician-first model that respects your time, autonomy, and clinical judgment—without micromanagement or unnecessary red tape. Whether you want to build your caseload or expand your clinical reach through telehealth, we provide the support you need to thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individual, couples, or family therapy using evidence-based approaches.
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with other members of the care team as needed for integrated treatment.
- Offer services in-person and/or via secure telehealth based on your availability.
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Mississippi (active and unrestricted). NBCC preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
- Skilled in treating a variety of mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions).
- Strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.).
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
- Culturally responsive and committed to ethical, client-centered care.

Compensation
This is a 1099 contract position with a competitive pay structure. We operate under a revenue-sharing service agreement structure but it’s designed to allow you flexibility to earn at your pace. There are options available to suit your needs. However, your income is based on your caseload—there’s no cap on your earnings and nothing to limit your potential.
