As an Event Custodial Services Technician at IC Arena, you will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests by maintaining facility cleanliness before, during, and after events.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of public and back-of-house spaces including restrooms, hallways, locker rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure cleanliness standards are met throughout the event.
- Operate custodial equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, and other tools as needed.
- Perform floor care including scrubbing, stripping, buffing, and polishing in designated areas.
- Wash walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and furniture per event or seasonal needs.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas following proper procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of facility grounds including entrances, sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor spaces.
- Restock utility closets and maintain inventory of custodial supplies and tools.
- Follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment when using chemicals and operating machinery.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and crouch for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior custodial or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as dictated by event schedule.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move or manipulate up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and crouch for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in environments that may be hot, cold, humid, or noisy depending on event and location.
