JOB SUMMARY:
Operates exciting beverage environments that attract and retain gaming guests while contributing to the operating success of the Food and Beverage department. Responsible for the successful execution of beverage operations within the established operational standards. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Downstream Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the day-to-day operation of beverage service on assigned shift.
- Responsible for successful operation of VIP Rooms
- Ensures that all beverage products served meet the established specifications and standards.
- Communicates variances from established standards to the Beverage Manager
- Ensures the minimum level of labor is used to perform the required level of service.
- Completes the required daily financial tools and reports.
- Executes and audits beverage inventory and cost control systems and procedures.
- Solicits guest feedback by direct interaction and comment cards.
- Acts immediately on any guest complaint to ensure corrections are made and the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee invocations are made.
- Ensures all service equipment is handled safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems to the proper department.
- Assists with effective hiring, training, recognition, coaching, terminations, and other personnel related matters are being handled appropriately within the department.
- Conducts the service education program; coaches, reinforces, and leads personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
- Understand and administers the performance appraisals, sets performance expectations, and provides coaching and provides operational support for all beverage employees.
- Enforces all appearance and uniform guidelines and all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- May be involved in cash transactions, either as a breaker or as a replacement for the regularly scheduled cashier, during day-to-day activity
- Performs duties of Food Supervisor and Kitchen Supervisor as necessary

- Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Attends all necessary training meetings.
- Assist in other projects, as directed.
- Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
- Must be at least 21 years old or older upon employment.
- High school graduate or equivalent with some college background preferred.
- 2 to 4 years beverage experience including technical experience in beverage service business required.
- Must possess good customer service, employee relations and leadership skills, and have good analytical abilities.
- Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
