- High school diploma with a minimum of three years experience in a similar position.
- Ability to operate a computer and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.
- Bookkeeping/record keeping skills.

- Greets visitors, substitutes, and parents. Answers questions and supplies information.
- Calls students to the main office.
- Assists in calculating paper order annually.
- Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to typing, copying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
- Enters all student discipline in discipline tracker and creates letters daily. Prepares state report.
- Assigns homerooms and lockers to students; maintains passwords for student internet access; coordinates and assigns parking permits.
- Maintains parent passwords for internet access.
- Coordinates the processing of purchase orders for payment.
- Coordinates facility usage with the building principal and central office.
- Coordinates school safety issues with principals.
- Assists summer school principal with summer school registration and offerings.
- Assists with scheduling interviews, graduation preparations and ceremony, scheduling teacher observations and teacher observation process.
- Assists with state testing, including 4Sight testing and PSSA.
- Assists principal with the scheduling process to include but not limited to: inputting all information relating to the courses and sectioning as the master schedule is built; assigning study halls, room assignments, and duties after the master schedule is finalized; preparing spreadsheet for study halls, hall duty assignments, list of open rooms, list of teachers’ free time, and list of lunch duty assignments; prints teacher schedules; updates schedules for the final teacher schedule book.
- Prints and distributes students’ schedules prior to the start of school.
- Inputs student grades; prints and distributes report cards.
- Sets, coordinates, and adjusts administrative calendar(s) using current software system. Prepares appropriate materials for scheduled meetings.
- Sets-up and coordinates parent meetings, conferences, and other school related functions and meetings.
- Creates and distributes the student handbook, student activities handbook, and teacher handbook annually.
- Collects special homeroom materials and distribute.
- Assists with distribution of supplemental contracts.
- Tracks and records professional development/Act 48 hours.
- Processes and coordinates field trip requests.
- Assists with special education needs, 504, gifted programs, and services, to include scheduling Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
- Creates and maintains student obligation lists.
- Reviews and processes in-house building print order.
- Assists in special events, such as (but not limited to) parent night, course selection night, graduation, etc.
- Creates and maintains position procedure outline to describe day to day duties of the position/department as needed.
