Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood education principles, including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among infants and toddlers.
- Engage in classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior management and effective classroom routines.
- Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods and other educational best practices tailored to individual developmental needs.
- Collaborate with families to support child welfare, share progress updates, and provide guidance on early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and inform instructional adjustments.
- Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress while ensuring compliance with all program policies and state regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education needs, and classroom management techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education methods.
- Experience caring for toddlers with a focus on toddler care routines and Montessori approaches is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate math skills, physical activities, and educational play aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to child welfare and safety regulations within childcare environments.
