Overview
Join our team as a Vacuum Truck Operator and become a vital part of our construction and utility services. In this role, you will operate specialized vacuum trucks to perform excavation, utility locating, and waste removal tasks across various construction sites. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance will ensure smooth operations while adhering to all safety regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate vacuum trucks, water trucks, excavators, backhoes, loaders, and other heavy construction machinery to perform excavation, utility work, and site grading
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or construction activities begin
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently during all operations
- Assist with construction site tasks such as excavation, grading, and utility installation using heavy machinery equipment and excavators
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports for project documentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safe work practices and efficient project completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, heavy equipment operation, and construction utility work
- Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and safety regulations applicable to construction sites
- Ability to operate loaders, backhoes, excavators, and water trucks confidently
- Familiarity with utility locating techniques and excavation procedures in compliance with safety standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment troubleshooting and repairs
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols, including OSHA standards and other relevant regulations
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred with a clean driving record
- Construction experience with emphasis on utility work, grading, excavation, and site preparation is highly desirable

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
