What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager on Duty (MOD) position at Down to Earth?
We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Manager on Duty. As a Manager on Duty, you will be the leader in charge during your shift, responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations and delivering outstanding customer service. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the success of our store and the satisfaction of our customers. We are hiring an MOD for the Kapolei and Pearlridge stores.
Experience
Manager on Duty, Clerk V -
- Minimum of two years retail experience.
- Minimum of one year experience in purchasing, merchandising and selling.
- Minimum of one year leadership or supervisory experience.
- Formal education in natural health, nutrition and/or healing preferred.
Skills
- Each product has its own story, benefits and uses. Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
- Ability to solve a variety of situations in a productive, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow Team Members and customers.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions, particularly whilst utilizing Microsoft programs.
Starting Pay
- Manager on Duty, Clerk V – $27 per hour

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth functioning of the store.
- Manage inventory levels, including purchasing and stocking of products.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Handle customer service inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and cash register transactions.
- Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly regarding nutrition.
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
