Do you love plants and enjoy talking with people? Down To Dirt Plant Nursery is looking for a friendly, dependable, and knowledgeable individual to represent our growing nursery at plant shows, festivals, and special events throughout Florida and the Southeast.

What You'll Do
Assist with booth setup and teardown before and after events.
Load and unload plants, displays, and event equipment.
Welcome customers with a friendly, professional attitude.
Answer questions about carnivorous plants, houseplants, and general plant care.
Recommend products based on customers' needs.
Operate the checkout system and accurately process cash and card transactions.
Correctly count and distribute change.
Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive booth throughout the event.
Help water, organize, and restock plants as needed.
Represent the Down To Dirt brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
What We're Looking For
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.
Honest, dependable, and trustworthy when handling cash and merchandise.
Knowledge of plants is strongly preferred (especially carnivorous plants and tropical houseplants), or a willingness to learn quickly.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend long periods standing and working outdoors.
Reliable transportation to event locations.
Ability to work weekends, as most events take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
Comfortable working independently while also being a team player.
Someone who takes initiative, is eager to learn, and can grow into a leadership role.
Growth Opportunity
As you become familiar with our products, event setup, and customer experience, our goal is for you to eventually be able to independently manage an event from start to finish. This includes transporting the booth (if applicable), setting up, assisting customers, processing sales, packing everything up, and returning inventory. Having team members who can confidently run events on their own will allow Down To Dirt to attend multiple shows happening on the same weekend, creating even more opportunities for growth—for both the business and our team.
Compensation & Perks
Competitive hourly pay (based on experience).

About Down To Dirt
Down To Dirt Plant Nursery specializes in carnivorous plants, tropical houseplants, and unique botanical gifts. We attend plant shows and festivals across Florida and the Southeast, bringing high-quality plants and exceptional customer service to every event.
We're an actively growing nursery and currently attend approximately 10–15 events each year, with plans to expand even further. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of that growth and help us create an outstanding experience for every customer.
