Down To Dirt Plant Nursery is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and positive individual to join our team! If you enjoy working with plants, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, and take pride in providing great customer service, we’d love to hear from you.
This is currently an as-needed, part-time position, with the opportunity for additional hours as our business continues to grow. Most work will be on weekends, with occasional weekday shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Planting and potting a variety of plants
- Watering and general greenhouse maintenance
- Assisting customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable service
- Tagging, labeling, and organizing inventory
- Helping with production and preparing plants for sale
- Cleaning and maintaining a neat, professional workspace
- Assisting with greenhouse projects and improvements
- Working alongside the owner to create an enjoyable shopping experience for customers
- Loading, unloading, and moving plants and supplies as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors and in greenhouse conditions
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to learn about plants (plant knowledge is a plus, but we’re happy to teach the right person)
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
- Able to work independently while also being a team player
Compensation & Benefits
- $16.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and performance
