Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Navigate route driving efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols to meet delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients during deliveries
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
- Assist with warehouse activities including moving inventory and organizing shipments for smooth dispatching
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for all completed routes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in route driving and heavy lifting tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and commercial driving regulations
- Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and inventory handling is a plus
- Excellent navigation skills for efficient route planning and time management
