Essential Functions include, but are not limited to: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.)
  • Stainless amp; Aluminum welding, preparation and finishing.
  • Structural fabrication tasks using band saw, drill press, iron worker, grinders, etc.
  • Sheet metal fabrication tasks such as shearing, punching, braking different types of stainless steel/aluminum sheet and shapes.
  • Ability to read engineered drawings, make dimensional calculations and have a good overall sense of drawing requirements.
  • Creative ability to help provide custom solutions to fabrication challenges.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand, air, and electric tools.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Adherence to all safety, quality, company rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for personal safety and those around him/her including participation and involvement in Safety, Quality and Activities Committees.
  • Maintain company standards for quality.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly shop and work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills amp; Ability:
  • A minimum of 2 years substantial experience in Welding/Fabrication/Mechanical Assembly.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Construction experience is a plus.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Dependable attendance.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate welders and other tools.
  • Ability to work for long periods of time and withstand repetitive motion (up to 10 hours a day with lunch and breaks).
Office Location and Travel:
This position is in Wasilla, AK
Minimal travel may be required.

Working Environment amp; Conditions:
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a manufacturing environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
