Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Food Prep Manager/Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality food service to residents in our small Personal Care Home. This position involves working closely with the dietary department to ensure that meal preparation, food handling, and sanitation standards are met, while also delivering exceptional customer service to residents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed during food production and service.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables and cleaning dishes.
- Support the dietary department by organizing food supplies and inventory management, along with menu planning.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and address any resident dietary needs or concerns.
- Participate in meal planning and preparation, ensuring adherence to dietary restrictions as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with residents during meal times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary aide role or similar position within the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with assisted living, personal care, or hospital environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Culinary experience or training in dietetics is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members.
