Dower & Associates is a growing, privately held CPA firm headquartered in Boerne, TX, with additional offices across five states. The firm offers a comprehensive suite of services, including tax compliance and planning, bookkeeping, payroll, business succession planning, estate planning, consulting, and IRS issue resolution for both individuals and small businesses. With a client base spanning industries such as real estate, construction, law, non-profit, and aviation, the firm is in a strategic phase of expansion. Despite its growth, Dower & Associates remains committed to delivering personalized, high-quality service with a human touch. Key Responsibilities
Base Salary: $100,000 annually
Bonus: Expected - $50,000 based on quarterly objectives, revenue goals, and profit goals. Opportunities to increase of another $25,000 (or more)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and privately held businesses.
- Oversee tax compliance, planning, and consulting while delivering thoughtful, value-added solutions to clients.
- Review tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and New Jersey tax laws.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly and quarterly filings.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, maintaining long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Prepare forms and supporting schedules, including write-ups and documentation for final tax return preparation.
- Drive efficiency by supporting the implementation and optimization of tax, accounting, and workflow systems.
- Collaborate with firm leadership across offices on strategic initiatives, best practices, and firm-wide tax strategy.
- Mentor and support a team that fosters professional growth and collaboration.
- Stay informed on evolving tax laws and proactively advise clients and internal teams.
- Participate in business development activities including networking, proposals, and expanding client relationships.
- CPA required; with a minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a similar professional setting
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Proficiency with tax software including Lacerte and Drake; experience with Canopy (formerly Carbon) and other practice management systems is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and contribute to firm growth
- Strong systems orientation and experience implementing new technology
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in playing a long-term leadership role at the firm
