Position Summary
Operate, maintain, program, and clean robots. Perform other manufacturing tasks as needed and assigned.
Responsibilities
- Load parts into jig in the correct sequence.
- Monitor multiple robot operations.
- Inspect parts produced.
- Prepare robot for next production lot by setting jig and setting robot program.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow company safety procedures and other policies.
- Report any and all safety concerns or issues to the immediate attention of supervisor.
- Troubleshoot and determine root cause, to include analysis, and diagnosis of robotic equipment.
- Interpret and respond to robot event messages.
- Perform robot program storage and retrieval.
- Properly start up and shut down robot.
- Perform laser startup and PM's of machine.
- Operate overhead crane.
- Check first and last pieces for quality. Ensure parts are free from blemishes.
- Use pin gauges, calipers, mics, fabervision, and CMM to validate parts to prints.
- Make adjustments such as laser offsets and alignment.
- Stock parts in a safe and orderly manner.
- Clean machine during and before end of shift.
- Make sure all tools are returned to proper place.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of welding experience preferred
- Previous experience in a related role preferred
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Quality standards must be strictly adhered to, so attention to detail is extremely important
- Basic understanding of blueprints required
- Regular and reliable attendance
Physical Requirements
- The employee is required to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods of time. Employee will be required to reach or lift up to 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
- Position is subject to substantial movements of the wrists, hands, or fingers.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines such as lathes where the seeing job is within arm's reach.
- The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Exposure to chemicals, moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels sometimes required.
