POSITION: Student Advocate/Behavioral Specialist
• BA Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Previous experience working with At-Risk youth
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic student population.
- Evidence of strong relationship skills
- Ability to coordinate learning efforts between professional staff, At-Risk students and parents
• Providing direct services to At-Risk students
- Working closely and collaboratively with students, families, and school staff
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Providing support in monitoring student social emotional, behavior and academic progress
- Effectively provide open communication between families, Counseling Department, teaching staff, and
- Assisting in planning, monitoring and coordinating Academic Success Plans for identified At-Risk
- Knowledge/use of technology related to job requirements
- Coordinate homework/activities for students assigned to the In-School Suspension program
