Consumer Loan Officer
What You'll Do:
- Assist members in identifying personal lending needs and present the best loan options
- Take applications online and in person, evaluate creditworthiness, and make sound credit decisions
- Create loans within established authority while adhering to lending policies
- Counsel members on credit issues and loan products
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage the loan pipeline
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners (dealers, insurers, Visa, etc.)
- Actively cross-sell additional credit union services
What You Bring:
- 2–3 years of consumer lending or related experience
- Strong understanding of loan processing, regulations, and member service
- Ability to make confident credit decisions and handle confidential information professionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
