What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Manager position at Dow Aero, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain current inventory levels
- Record, track, and report inventory as necessary
- Perform physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports
- Receive, unpack, and deliver goods; re-stock items as necessary; label shelves
- Process and document returned items as required following established procedures
- Work closely with other departments to complete tasks
- Organize and manage inventory documentation and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts
- Ensure that damaged or misplaced inventory items are accounted for and handled properly
- Process and move production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support the flow of production following standard work instructions
- Monitors work in process
- Communicates status of parts and materials using automated systems and manual reporting methods to ensure parts availability
- Identifies and solves problems or discrepancies of limited scope with parts and materials using established procedures or processes
- Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
