Prep Cook/Dishwasher

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping and marinating, adhering to kosher dietary laws.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment following kosher standards.
• Ensure a clean and organized dishwashing and prep area.
• Assist with kitchen cleanup and sanitation tasks.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Support front-of-house responsibilities during meal services as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a prep cook or dishwasher in a commercial kitchen is a plus.
• Ability to handle high-volume dishwashing.
• Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and kosher sanitation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Have reliable transportation. Dovid Oved is a 24hr operation and does not close on holidays or inclement weather.
• Familiarity with kosher kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
• Physically able to lift 40lbs, bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.

This is an hourly position, starting pay $17-$20 an hour and is based on experience.

All applicants must be able to pass a drug screening.
