Position: The Designer role blends creativity, technical design ability and sales acumen. This role is responsible for building relationships with clients and leads, designing cabinetry solutions that meet project requirements, preparing accurate proposals, and driving these projects from initial lead through signed contract. The focus is guiding homeowners, custom home builders, and remodelers through the full design and purchasing process—from initial inspiration to final installation.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Sales
· Create kitchen, bath, and interior cabinetry designs using 20/20 (testing required).
· Present design solutions that clearly communicate layout, function, aesthetics, and pricing.
· Sell cabinetry, countertops, and related materials while meeting monthly and annual revenue goals.
· Educate clients on material options, construction, finishes, timelines, and budget expectations.
Client Experience & Project Management
· Manage client relationships from initial consultation through project completion.
· Maintain consistent communication with clients, contractors, and trade partners to support smooth installations.
· Develop and track project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
· Provide exceptional service that builds trust, referrals, and repeat business.
Showroom & Team Support
· Greet, qualify, and assist walk-in clients.
· Open and close the showroom per schedule; maintain a clean, professional, and inviting environment.
· Assist with showroom events, trainings, and vendor presentations.
· Collaborate with teammates and leadership to continue elevating the client experience.
Field Work
· Travel locally to client homes and job sites for measurements, consultations, and inspections.
· Verify job-site conditions and ensure design plans align with field realities.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
· Interior Design degree or equivalent experience in kitchen & bath, construction, or related fields.
· Minimum 1 year of cabinetry or kitchen/bath design experience.
· Strong 20/20 competency; portfolio required.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active design projects.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven ability to sell products/services and build long-term client relationships.
