This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work directly for the CEO on a special portfolio of creative office and hospitality in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Position Overview
Dovetail is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and hands-on professional to work alongside the CEO on a special portfolio of creative office and hospitality in NYC. This is a high-exposure, generalist role designed for an intellectually curious, entrepreneurial professional who thrives in dynamic environments and wants broad exposure and responsibility. The portfolio includes creative office, F&B outlets, membership clubs, and boutique hospitality.
The professional will work alongside the CEO and President on developing and executing strategic initiatives while driving strategic analysis, managing cross-functional projects, and serving as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership. The ideal candidate holds an MBA or graduate degree in real estate and brings several years of experience in real estate, hospitality, consulting, or investment banking. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of hospitality, real estate, and brand — working closely with a founder-led team.
The position will be based in lower Manhattan and will require a minimum of 4 days a week in the office.
Position Responsibilities
Strategy & Analysis
- Support the CEO & President in evaluating investment opportunities, including financial modeling, market research, and due diligence
- Prepare materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and strategic planning sessions
- Track industry trends across hospitality, real estate, and adjacent creative industries and synthesize insights for leadership
Operations & Special Projects
- Own discrete cross-functional projects from inception through execution, working across departments including finance, operations, HR, and marketing
- Identify operational inefficiencies across the portfolio and develop recommendations for improvement
- Support the opening and onboarding of new outlets and properties as needed
Executive Support & Communications
- Serve as a thought partner and sounding board to the CEO on strategic decisions
- Draft internal and external communications, memos, and correspondence on behalf of leadership
- Prepare the CEO for key meetings, including briefings, agendas, and follow-up action items
- Interface with senior stakeholders including ownership, legal counsel, brand partners, and lenders
Culture & Leadership
- Model the company's values and contribute to a high-performance, creative team culture
- Take on additional responsibilities as the company grows and evolves
- Support the execution of branding initiatives
Education & Experience
- MBA or Real Estate focused graduate degree
- 3–5 years of professional experience in real estate, hospitality, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a related field
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or founder-led environment
Technical Skills
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and other presentation tools; ability to build polished, executive-ready materials independently

- Exceptionally organized with strong project management instincts and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- High degree of intellectual curiosity — genuinely interested in hospitality, real estate, design, and brand
