DoverStaffing is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Facilities Administrative Support Bookkeeper to assist with financial recordkeeping and administrative tasks related to our facilities management operations. This role involves supporting accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts, including GAAP, general ledger management, and reconciliation processes. Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data across multiple accounts.
- Support budgeting activities by preparing financial reports and analyzing account data for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain detailed records of financial transactions following GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data across all ledgers.
- Perform administrative tasks such as 10-key typing, document filing, and maintaining organized financial documentation.
Qualifications
- 2 - 3 years' experience and proficiency with Excel software to include pivot table experience.
- 3-5 years pf professional administrative support experience, proficiency with MS Office, MS PowerPoint.
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, and governmental accounting practices if applicable.
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger management.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in account analysis and account reconciliation tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
