Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Specialist to execute precision measurement activities. In this role, you will be responsible for programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), executing first article inspections, and ensuring all manufactured parts meet strict geometric tolerances. You will also play a key role in continuous improvement by assisting production with setup measurements, calibrating equipment, and training team members on the shop floor.

Interview & Hiring Requirement

To be considered for an on-site interview, all applicants must successfully pass three pre-employment assessments:

• Math Test (Evaluating foundational math skills)

• Inspection and Measurement Test (Assess ability to inspect and measure accurately)

• Print Reading Test (Evaluating blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• CMM Programming: Develop, modify, and run precision programs on Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex components.

• Inspection & Verification: Perform 1st article inspections, process capability studies, and routine shop floor inspections to ensure customer specifications are met.

• Calibration & Maintenance: Calibrate precision measuring instruments and tools to maintain laboratory and production accuracy.

• Production Support: Collaborate with the manufacturing team by assisting production personnel with setup measurements.

• Documentation: Maintain meticulous, accurate quality control records, inspection data, and compliance logs.

Basic Skill Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in CMM programming.

• Blueprint Reading: Strong capability to read blueprints and thoroughly understand and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Metrology Tools: Proficient in the proper use of precision measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, indicators).

• Mathematical Skills: Solid foundational machine math skills.

• Technology Skills: Basic computer literacy and technology skills for data entry and software operation.

• Training Requirement: Must be willing and able to complete the internal Quality Special Training course and associated classes.
