What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Educator/Case Manager - Social-Emotional/Behavioral position at Dover Middle School?
Must hold appropriate NH certification. Endorsements in Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities would be ideal. This program serves middle school students with emotional and mental health issues. Candidates should have experience working with social agencies, mental health providers, and the ability to partner with families in a holistic approach to serving middle school students in a dynamic learning environment.
Description of position (Please be brief for newspaper posting): This position has the following responsibilities:
-Support program with tasks and initiatives related to improving the quality of programming and instruction for students with
social-emotional/behavioral needs
-Work collaboratively with school staff to facilitate open communication with all levels of administration
-Programming support for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs in all continuums of support
-Assist paraprofessionals in collection, assessment, and interpretation of data in order to design appropriate individualized
instruction for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs
-Assist paraprofessionals in using interventions and evidence based strategies for students with social-emotional/behavioral
needs
-Knowledge of behavioral interventions for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs
-Provide classroom teachers resources for students with social-emotional/behavioral needs
-Provide specially designed academic instruction
-Complete academic evaluations
-Participate in required meetings and trainings
