What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Education Teacher position at Dover High School?
The Dover High School and Career Technical Center seeks a dynamic educator for our Wellness Department. The applicant must be New Hampshire certified in Physical Education and Health Education (K-12 preferred). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a skill-based health and physical education curriculum that helps foster success in a 21st century student. Topics taught within the health education curriculum align with the National Health Education Standards and address: personal health, mental/emotional health, nutrition, substance use and abuse, and sexual health. Topics taught within the physical education curriculum are aligned with the National Physical Education Standards and SHAPE America and address: strength and conditioning, adventure programming, lifetime fitness, and yoga.
